In His Own Words

A Story Worth Telling

Robert E. Pace is a God-fearing, God-loving man who has lived with schizophrenia for much of his life. His mental illness has made its setbacks strong — but Robert has never stopped fighting. He has traveled to different cities and states across America searching for triumph, for happiness, for something golden he could hold onto.

Are his worlds and reasonings delusional? Are his visions and illusions real? These are the questions Robert wrestles with every day — and the questions he puts on the page with raw honesty. Mental health services have helped Robert along the way, but nothing has stopped the visions and voices. His love of God has always been his foundation, even when the judgments he believed came from God seemed to bring more pain than peace.

"I write because I lived it. Every word is true — at least, it is true to me."

— Robert E. Pace
